The Mindy Project’s season finale went the same way most of the season has: with some solid jokes, uneven pacing, great guest stars and a lot of tension between Danny and Mindy. I’m not entire sure where to start, as a great deal of this episode felt smashed together: first Mindy and Casey were trying to figure out how to make a long distance relationship work, then Mindy decided to go with him to Haiti, then they went on a camping trip with an (underused) Christina and Danny, then there was a party for Casey and Mindy going away, where

With the title being ‘All or nothing’ it was ironic that something in the middle was delivered. I mean – we had our surprise wedding, unmasking of ‘katie xoxo’ and the New Directions winning regionals; yet still it lacked closure – opening up new cans of worms until next fall. Why do you do this to us Glee?     Lets start with Rachel’s audition – The episode literally had just started and we had Rachel about to sing her beautiful little heart out, no build up, no anything. She signed herself in, introduced herself and nailed Celine Dion’s “To

As we near the end of The Mindy Project’s first season, the show seems to want to get bigger and better, and haul back as many guest stars as they possibly can. This is great for the audience, especially when the guest stars are all fantastic comedic actors such as: Bill Hader, Mark DuPlass and Anders Holm, all playing Mindy’s ex-boyfriend, ex-boyfriend/work competition, and ex-boyfriend for half the episode/current boyfriend for the other half. I think that Mindy Kaling is eventually going to use every funnyman in the business to play her love interests, and I can’t wait to see

This week on a Stevie Wonder themed Glee we have the return of Mercedes, Mike and Kurt. We also find out about Burt’s results and Cassandra reveals her true colours. Amongst all this going on there are still loose ends that need tightening. Let’s start with Kitty and Artie. With only one episode left we keep getting these constant flirty moments: are they actually going to go anywhere and will they finally get together or do something of the sort. Kitty helped Artie accept his offer to Brooklyn Film School by being a sneak of the week and telling his

This week in Glee we are welcomed back to New York to follow the lives of Rachel, Kurt and Santana. As well as being introduced to Sue’s new career and still no luck in unmasking Ryder’s dream girl. The episode starts off with Ryder messaging little miss Catfish and he asks her why she’s afraid to meet up; in which she replied, “idk”. Gotta love their deep emotional conversations that makes Ryder want her so bad! Personally, I think they’re dragging this out way too long and it’s stopping Ryder getting closer to anybody else cough kitty cough! (We’ll get

After last weeks episode focusing on such a heavy, serious topic this weeks episode feels a tonne lighter. The New Directions are back and although they’re all affected by the fake shooting Mr Schue is adamant in choosing the set list for regionals. In my opinion, Mr Schue isn’t really himself and is quite harsh on the kids. He rejects Marley’s original songs without even hearing her out and insults Unique’s breasts, Sam’s false twin and Tina’s dress sense. Wow Mr Schue you need to slow down. I wasn’t really a fan of this weeks episode mainly because, to me,

First and foremost well done Glee (Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson)! With the episode being titled ‘Shooting Star’ with the raw topics it included I was scared it was going to be handled all wrong. In my opinion I feel it was executed perfectly. What I enjoyed most is how natural it felt and was played out. The first twenty minutes or so was typical Glee; with the New Direction rehearsing for Regionals, a “Lord Tubbington Meteor” on its way for Lima, Sam feeling slightly jealous of Brittany and her cats relationship and Becky worrying about graduating. All seems well

The end of the season meets many a surprise. Where we left off, the ISIS gang entered Sealab, to make sure they didn’t explode the world. Mallory is still bitter she didn’t get to ransom a bomb to the US government, and Cheryl is mad her brother tried to steal her inheritance. More twists await the characters, as Archer executes his plan.

The theme of The Mindy Project this week was forgiveness, and how apparently none of our main characters can accomplish that. This all starts pretty early when Mindy’s version of pillow talk is asking her new beau Casey (Anders Holm, last seen in “My Cool Christian Boyfriend”), if he would avenge her if she was murdered. He promptly ruined the mood by declaring he would not avenge her (and their two made-up children) but would instead forgive the murderer. The forgiveness train continued when Mindy’s ex-boyfriend Josh (Tommy Dewey) called her up. He knew she was coming to Santa Fe

Fans of The Mindy Project got lucky this week, as Fox decided to try out the show in a new spot, right after American Idol, along with their usual Tuesday time. This means we got double Mindy hijinks, double Danny Castellano snark, and, most importantly, double the tension between Mindy and Danny. Needless to say, it was a wonderful week. I’m not entirely sure which episode to start with, as the one that aired on Thursday was, in the episode order, technically supposed to air before the one that premiered on Tuesday. But these were pretty much standalone episodes, so

Kudos to anyone who could tell the pudgy guy talking in this weeks ads was voiced by Eugene Mirman. The comedian, infamous for being sent to special ed in middle and high school on accident, voiced Cheryl’s brother. Cecil Tunt is an environmentalist, aided by his girlfriend (Kristen Schaal, aka the love of my life and Mirman’s TV sister). Mallory gets Cecil to use his fancy helicopter to take the ISIS to retrieve a bomb. Her plan is to hold it for ransom to the US government, against the Russians. Are we still against the Russians, or was the script

I read the title of the plot and said “oh gosh, this is bad for holy week”. I also started giggling immediately. The basic premise: the Vatican, a certain cardinal especially, hires ISIS to protect the pope, which is an oxymoron. They can’t send Ray, obviously, so Pam gets her first experience as a backup. Lana convinces Mallory to let her go, too, and brings a nearby Pope look-alike: Woodhouse.
