Go On delivered a new episode this week, and offered us a quick insight into what they all really wanted to achieve as a goal. Indeed, Yolanda gave away goal dolls to every single one of them. I didn’t know what it was, yet I like the concept. You have a little Japanese doll, at the bottom of which you write down your first goal. Then you paint an eye, while the other eye keep watching you and remind you of your goal. Once you do achieve it, you can color the other eye and give it some peace.  I’ve

Go On was back from winter hiatus this week, and it didn’t strike me as a magnificent comeback. I find the episode to be flat and not really funny, to be honest. Sure, I was surprised the end was coming so fast. And when time flies, it’s usually a good sign. But here, I was actually surprised that nothing happened. It felt like they didn’t develop their storylines. It was frustrating and, in the end, I hope they’ll do better next week. In the meanwhile, let’s recap what happened – or didn’t happen – in the episode. Ryan is over

This week’s episode of Go On tackled different storylines that all converged at the end of the episode. Generally speaking though, it was centered around the idea of what you would do and who you’d like to be with when the world will come to its end. It was a legitimate question, and I believe we all have asked ourselves the question once in our lives. Indeed, the group decided to throw a Christmas party, and finally agreed on a date: it’ll be on 2012 December 21st. Of course, Mister K, who was at his creepiest, noticed it was the

This week Go On episode had three different storylines, unequally addressed. How soon is too soon to get back in the game? That was the theme of the main storyline and a legitimate question that the show tackled with humor and wisdom. Indeed, Ryan realizes by checking jogging girls out that he’s lonely and that he needs to get back in the game. But here’s the thing: he wasn’t good at it then, and he’s definitely not comfortable with the dating world anymore now. But, as the Carpe Diem guy he is, he seizes the occasion of a volleyball game

This week’s episode of Go On was about dealing with loss during a symbolic date such as a birthday, where you usually want to be with the people you love. Indeed, it was Ryan’s first birthday since his wife had passed away and, even though he said he was okay, the all group wanted to support him by setting up an awesome birthday. The problem is Ryan is not a fan of great surprises, telling the group that his wife used to throw him parties and surprises that usually made him grumpy. Obviously, after watching these people for 7 episodes,

Hey guys! I’m new on board, and glad to be. Here’s everything you need to know about me: I’m French, I’m a sucker for American series, and I’ve pretty much grown up with series. Some would say I live vicariously through fictional characters, I’d say they’re giving me so many emotions that fit right into the thrill of my real life. So now is the perfect time to raise my glass and give a toast: to sharing a common passion! And now let’s go through the last Go On episode. This week, Go On shed a new light on Lauren,

I don’t have much to say about this week’s new episode, and that could be good or bad. It’s good, because I still like it better than The New Normal, for which I have a ton of criticisms, but also bad because I feel like this show is running out of steam. I liked the overall theme of ‘outpouring’ this week, with the unwanted emotional spectacle on Miguel and Steven’s behalf, then Ryan’s appreciation when the group comes through for him, followed by everyone else. However, we didn’t get to know any more characters very intimately. I guess you could

Maybe I’m just borderline deaf, but there are way too many lines in this episode that sound like something completely different. When Ryan says, “K-BAL,” it sounds like “Gay ball.” When Steven says, “What up, blood. Love your crib,” it sounds like “What up, blood. Love your crip.” John Cho’s voice does resemble that of a black man when you close your eyes though. When Ryan calls Carrie his “Vice Janie,” it sounds like “Vice Cheney.” Another thing I hate about new shows, and maybe it’s just my poor hearing, is when they don’t mention character names enough. That’s when

Is it just me, or does the sneak preview of Go On feel like NBC’s answer to sending Community to the island of misfit toys, aka the Friday Night timeslot? In both series, we have an emotionally flawed male lead and the band of lovable misfits that become his best friends. Let’s take a closer look. The obvious ‘Annie’ of the group is Yolanda, Lauren’s shameless type-A suck up. However, I don’t see her as a love interest for Ryan at all. I do see Lauren and Ryan hooking up eventually. Though I love making predictions and I love being
